Pastured Sommerlad Chicken Breasts

Our Sommerlad chickens are a truly unique, slow-growing heritage breed, developed in Australia by Michael Sommerlad using genetics from Aussie Game, Light Sussex, and Plymouth Rock. Bred specifically for Australian conditions, these birds thrive on pasture, developing rich flavour, yellow fat, and strong bones for exceptional eating quality.

Raised on our regenerative farm in Barham, NSW, our chickens are 100% hormone-free and antibiotic-free. They spend their lives pecking, scratching, and foraging across open paddocks, moving every few days to fresh ground under the sun. This natural movement not only builds strong, healthy birds but also enriches our soil with feathers, manure and straw as they go.
