Whole Pastured Sommerlad Chicken

The chickens are really tasty, just like chicken used to taste. Sommerlad chooks are bred from lots of different breeds and are well suited to Australian outdoor conditions, have darker tasty meat and thicker skin than conventional chickens and take up to three times as long to finish than commercial breeds.

Sommerlad chickens spend their days pecking and scratching the paddocks and roaming our pastured paddocks. We move them every few days and they leave behind lovely fertilised and soft soil, littered with feathers and straw which add delicious organic material to the soil.

We have both hens and roosters (or coqs) or which again are super flavoursome and are preferable in Europe. Giblets included. Chemical and antibiotic free.
